Founded in 1972, the company has grown to become a serious contender in the stationery market
in Saudi Arabia. In 1999 it was purchased by A.K. Al-Muhaidib Group and since then it has
expanded to cover all Saudi Arabia out of 6 wholesale outlets. In 2003 the company became
part of Hoshan Group Of Companies, at that time it was focusing on office/school stationery in
addition to engraving machines & supplies. In 2005 the company’s focus was fixed to make it the
group’s distribution wing.
Dar Al-Marefa has currently a staff of over 120 employees of which 69 are in sales. Its products
cover the following market segments: office supplies, school supplies, specialty schoolbooks,
promotional gift items, crafts supplies, and art supplies.
